Erm, 401 never enters Kitchener... The 85 coming north from 401 does. You must mean Cambridge, which the 401 barely grazes.

I hate to be a stickler... But the 401 goes through Preston (which is, yes technically part of Cambridge but considered by many to be Kitchener), and Doon (which is actually in Kitchener). It goes through C-bridge on both sides of kitchener.

Okay that area is confusing. That whole kitchener waterloo area. I am referring to exits 282 (OPP detachment) and the King Street bypass.

Right when you go down that hill everyone just slams on their brakes. I have seen radar there and the flow of traffic sometimes will go from 140-125 and suddenly everyone slams on the brakes and is at 115.

I guess its cambridge........ you know what i mean.

Lol, I can never recall a single "Kitchener: Population X" sign on the 401. I realize now that Doon is part of Kitchener, but I guess I should keep my eyes on signs other than the traffic ones... And I usually take local hwy 7 to K-W (when I do need to go there).

I am not sure that I've ever noticed one there either (I go that way quite a bit), it might be, but I doubt it cause the area is so confusing. I know there are Region of Waterloo signs, and thats probably all, because otherwise it would be a cambridge one, a kitchener one, and then another cambridge one... screwy towns.
