Court Will Notify 3-6 Mo. About Court Date

Unread post by rmyly »

Took ticket into courthouse to set trial--They said will send DATE within 3-6 mo. and if they dont , that i should call the tel. # on ticket and set date with them.

Now IF they dont send date to me,should i call them or just wait until they do --or dont--- get back to me????

Thanks to all. :|

If you don't get a court date after 3-6 months I would check with them to make sure your notice of trial did not get lost in the mail. If the notice does some how get lost in the mail you could miss your court date and be found guilty by default. If that happens you would have to apply to have your case reopened which means more trips to the court house and an appearance before a JP to convince them that they should reopen your case.
