8 Situations?

Unread post by Helper »

I was recently speaking to an OPP police officer regarding speeding and radar. He stated, that during training, officers are told that there are 8 situations where radar should not be used! Does anyone know what these 8 situations are? I didn't have a chance to finished my conversation with him regarding this.

ditto

- it was could be safety situations discussed why not to chase down a speeder (ie: I won't turn around on a blind hill), but nothing to do with radar itself

Could also be things that we already know of, like:

- Device wasn't tested prior to the stop

- No tracking history of the vehicle

- Radar device failed the test(s)

- Multiple targets in close proximity going toward/away (radar only, not lidar)

- Gross mismatch between officer observed speed and radar reading

Etc...

Don't know for sure...
