Hi, I got caught speeding near 401 and Brimley, it is a over a bridge so I was going downhill. The speed limit there posted "50" KM. I was caught after I came off the bridge over 401, the School Zone was behind that... The COP told me I was doing 68! And he wrote on a ticket "Speeding 68 over school zone". What bug me is he put a "R" on the ticket !! Which he didn't really reduce my speed. And the area he caught me isn't a school zone... the school zone was behind the cop.... way behind! He only charge me $42 and then after victim fee is $60. Here is the question, if I was in the school zone... isn't my fine double??? Why wasn't? Lucky I got a Dash Cam in my car... Please see the link below, it is a mp4 file.. As you can see, the max speed I have on the Cam is "65". And you can clearly see the "YELLOW" School Zone sign way behind the cop after he stop me at the end of the video. Anything that under 16KM over the speed limit is no demerit points. But if it is over 16 it is 3 Demerit Points. I plan to pick Option 2 meet with prosecutor. The last speeding ticket was 2007 May.... so I really don't care to have 1 ticket. But I really don't wanted any Demerit Points in my record. What chances do you guys think do I have to have it reduce where no Demerit Points is taken? Here is the mp4 video of my dash cam... It is in my Google Drive... https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B4qYsmB ... sp=sharing Manay thanks...

Speeding... 68 over School Zone.. By my Dash Cam say 65...
Hi guys... I just came back from my Early Resolution Meeting... Long story short... they reduced my ticket from 68 over 50 zone to 60 over 50 zone. When I arrived, there are 20+ people waiting outside a cubicles in the hall. As soon as the lady came, everyone get up and line up outside the door. She had a Spreadsheet, when it got to my turn. She look over my name, and say she can reduce it from 68 over 50 to 60 over 50 and drop the points. I didn't even open my mouth or show her any video. Then I said, yes... She ask me wait outside of a little court room. 20 minutes later, a group of people including myself enter the court room. Each one was called up, they read out your name and saying you willing to a lesser charge. I get up; the Judge say you willing to take a lesser charge of speeding @ 60 over a 50 zone, is this correct? I say "YES", then he reply, the fine is $30, do you wanted to pay it today or later day. I said today... He gave me a white from and tell me go down to first floor to pay the fine. I went down-stair get a number... again waited there another 20 minutes. After surcharge and the fine, the ticket came to $45. I pay, and get out. Total process took about an hour.

I got a hand-held device ticket on Thursday March 16. $490 and 3 demerit points. The officer was hiding on a street and I drove by him with my phone in my hand.
I had a speeding ticket in May 2013 which brought me to 9 demerit points out of 15. I received a letter and had to attend an interview. Due to a history of speeding tickets and a previous interview a few years prior, the interviewer decided to put me on zero tolerance for a year. Meaning if I…
Around 3 months ago my friend told me that he thinks he ran Red Light on highway 7. ok his car was 1-2 meters away the Stop Line when the Light turned RED he then couldn't stop so he ran because Speed Limit on HWY7 is 80km/h and you all know none of drivers do under 80km/h they always at 83-85km/h,…
Today I was pulled over by a cop, and he told me that I was following to closely. There was no collision - I was following him, and I had kept enough distance (I would have atleast 1 car length or more) - when he turned on the lights and siren, I pulled over - this means that I was able to brake in…
Per the subject, I was stopped just over a week ago. I mentioned to the officer that I was going with traffic, and couldn't have been going over 125km. He mentioned that I was spotted by aircraft, and that he is just the messenger for aircraft patrol.
This morning, I was on the WB 407 on my way to school. For about 15 km, I was following an OPP SUV in the left lane. The officer was generally driving between 120 and 125, and I made sure to keep a safe distance. Before I go any further, yes, I know I was speeding,…
I was recently charged with a speeding ticket and driving with a suspended license. I was given the tickets on Feb 3rd and have since hired a paralegal. The paralegal asked when my court/summons date was. I cannot seem to find my tickets so I called the court and gave them my driver's license to…
How easy would it be to beat a ticket for "failing to provide proof of insurance" for the simple reason of a street name misspelling on my proof of insurance? The street is a woman's name, ending in ie, but the insurance slip was spelled with a y. In my mind this is not a failure to…
