Drinving on the 401 , the officer told me i was doing 143 . I told him it was a car rental and didnt realize i was going that fast. He asked me if i was ever charged for speeding. What would the mother be charged with? My niece often asks to drive my car and i would like to allow her once in a while .Stanton wrote:
As for insurance, even if you weren't covered, it's the registered owner (your mother I'd assume) who gets charged, not the driver.

They should include towtruck operators in this law. It must be pretty scary hitching a vehicle while cars are zooming past you going 80 - 120 km/hour .
