Well, not as costly as I had expected for a second offense. $3000 plus court costs. His other charges were on the sheet the prosecutor was looking at because he asked my son if he had started to pay off the previous fines.

He ended up with a fine of $2500 for the no insurance, for the plates not authorized charge he was given a suspended sentence and he has to pay the ex...

It was his car registered under his name. The plates were given to him by one of his friends who took them from his Dad's garage. Plates were returned to the owner by the police. The charge for my son was driving with plates not authorized for that vehicle on top of a couple of others.
