Re: Disclosure Time Period?
Would it then be more wise to allow the trial to start and when the officer gets called to object to the admission of that evidence due to non-disclosure since if the evidence against me isn't disclosed then there isn't a case? I've got to show up either way but it has only been about 5.5 months sin...

Re: Disclosure Time Period?
Update: When I sent in my "Notice of intention to appear in court" I also sent in the same envelope my Disclosure Request and what was essentially my request for a speedy trial to the court office and I sent a separate envelope with the Disclosure and speedy trial request to the prosecuti...

Disclosure Time Period?
So I got a speeding ticket back in October and requested to go to trial. With my Request for Trial I also sent in my letter for a speedy trial and a disclosure request. I still haven't received a Notice of Trial but that could just be a matter of a bit more time. More importantly I haven't heard any...

107 in 80 zone
Not sure if this is an acceptable spot to post since right now so I'm sorry if this is wrong but I couldn't find a better place to post... So I got a ticket the other day and was shocked because I was caught "going 27 over" according to the officer. When I got told that I thought I was sti...

Innocent Until Proven Guilty - Question
Without the story... I'm supposed to be presumed innocent until proven guilty (in this case I am but "he said she said" normally works again the defendant). To me if I do nothing and get found guilty then I'm presumed guilty until proven innocent?!?!?! So is this process actually legal? Th...

Re: 96km/h in a 60
Well my wife was offered a resolution to a charge of "Disobey Sign" which is significantly better than 96 in a 60 overall. I know that our insurance may go up IF they find the ticket still but my wife didn't think that the risk of losing outweighed the offer. On a side note, when I was cal...

53 Over Down To 49 - Wrong Car!
I had a ticket the other day by the same officer in nearly the same place as my wife, somehow I was told that I was driving 113km/h in a 60km/h zone. I had to stop at a stop sign before making a turn onto another road. At this point I turned left onto a road with a 90km/h zone (I travel the roads al...

Re: 96km/h in a 60
Ok well we got a court date booked (I called and they said they were giving a 1 week "leniency window" for anyone who was within their 3-7 days of responding when the strike happened so we had no issues). I have a few questions and if anyone can help point me in the right direction I'd gre...

Requesting a Trial Inquiry
I have an issue right now, my fiance got a speeding ticket and we planned on fighting it. She was going to do the mail in option since it was available in the area but due to the postal lockout and union strike we can't mail it anymore. The location that the ticket advises us to go to is in Goderich...

Re: 96km/h in a 60
thanks for your input on this so far, I'll take a look and make sure that I am able to speak for her. I know I can't do anything she doesn't want me to do which is fine, she's ok with me doing the work for her but doesn't really want to deal with the thing herself.

Re: Name Wrong & Possible Other Error
I believe you are correct in saying that if you ignore the ticket entirely that the Justice has to look over the ticket and make a final decision. By purely ignoring the ticket a non-fatal error (like your name being incorrect) becomes a fatal error but you might have to take an additional step. Onc...

96km/h in a 60
I've been trying to go through a lot of information on this site and I found some useful information but I haven't come across an answer to my question so I was hoping for some help. I'm not sure if this is the right place but it looked like it might be appropriate to post here, if not I'm sorry. A ...
