My personal view is that it doesnt hurt to file an 11B and try to get a stay before entering a plea for your ticket. You lose nothing. I am posting this on behalf of a friend.
He was late dropping off his son at school. He wasn't carrying his wallet - no licence/permit/insurance card. He got 4 tickets.
(1) Driving at 65 km/h in a 50 km/h zone - HTA sec 128
(2) Drive motor vehicle - no licence - HTA sec 32 (1) --- his licence had expired...was renewed the same day

From what I see, the notes say --

Solo occupant (no passenger)
(not sure what O/A is)...Lead vehicle, curb lane
