Dont show, get convicted, appeal on your grounds and get the charge dropped.

I think it wont matter. The officer wrote 60, just in a sloppy manner. Try to fight it though and best of luck.

Nabbed wrong car for FAILURE TO STOP FOR SCHOOL BUS!!!!!
This is synopsis of a fail to stop for school bus ticket that was issued to my friend two weeks ago. A school bus is stopped and driving east on Mohawk Road in Hamilton. As the bus driver puts on the lights and projects the stop sign two autos driving west in the slow lane (lane closest to the side ...

Re: Disclosure request interval
11 months might be enough to file an 11B and get the ticket thrown out. Review that with your rep.

Cell Phone Ticket. Questions and do I have a defense?
I have a court date in January for a cell phone/distracted driving ticket. I have a few questions. 1. Does this ticket go on your driving abstract like a speeding ticket would. 2. I was not talking on my cell phone but a blue tooth set. The one that attaches to the visor above the window. I was at a...

Re: Should I file an 11-B on this ticket?
1. Are you sure? A delay of over 6 months still seems excessive in my mind. 2. The charge was for using a cell phone. I'm going to talk to points or xcopper 3. I'm also thinking about bringing my insurance costs to the prosecuter and beg for mercy lol. Maybe they'll drop the ticket because of the le...

Should I file an 11-B on this ticket?
I am in big trouble with my insurance company. From August 2008 to present day I have accumulated 8 traffic convictions. I only lost demerit points on 1. HOWEVER the insurance company doesn't care about points. My insurance just increased from 218 a month to 850. Not cool! 2 tickets will hit the thr...

Re: Should this speeding ticket(s) be thrown out for miscond
You were driving 110 in an 80. The officer likely reduced it to 100 in an 80 to save you the 4th demerit point and having a major infraction on your record. You complained, so he wrote you a ticket for the full infraction, which he can do if you dispute the reduced infraction. If you dispute a redu...

Re: Should this speeding ticket(s) be thrown out for miscond
*Edited by forum*. If I feel I wasn't speeding and choose to tell the officer issuing me the ticket I plan to challenge his evidence in a court of law I will. Its my right. Also edited by forum.

Re: Should this speeding ticket(s) be thrown out for miscond
I appreciate the advice. I'm handling this matter unrep'ed. I will review this with the JP and present these points to the judge. Hopefully it's a) thrown out on the spot or b) a second trial date is set. I'll post the results next week. Thanks.

Re: Should this speeding ticket(s) be thrown out for miscond
My thought is the second ticket was laid in a manner that showed malicious prosecution and it should be thrown out for that reason.

I thought that you really had 45 days even though the ticket says 15...A cop told me this once. I hope it's true!

Re: 136 on QEW Westbound near Gray's Rd
Sounds like this cop needed to meet his quota! LOL If you were speeding, which has been admitted, you'll be subject to some form of penalty.I don't see the ticket being thrown out. If your driving record is decent go to a first appearance meeting, explain what happened and ask for 115KM in 100KM. If...

Should this speeding ticket(s) be thrown out for misconduct?
Here is a snapshot of what happened I was pulled over in January 2010 in Niagara region going 110 in an 80. The officer is not overly friendly and asks if I've been drinking. I say no. The officer issues me a ticket for 100 in an 80km. This ticket is handed to me. I tell the officer I don't think I ...
