ticket to change punctured tire on fire route
hi all, I got a ticket a few months ago for parking at the fire route, I have challenged it and got a court appearance in a couple of days and I wanted to find out what i can do. here is what happened I was dropping a friend at his house and he lives in those housing complex at 1 am at night. As soon as I entered the complex, my car went over a beer bottle, shattering it which punctured my tire. I stopped the car in front of my friend's house to drop him, looked at the tire which had leaked more than half of the air already. I put the emergency lights on and started to jack up my car to change...

so apparently i should've asked for a first attendance specifically instead of a trial even though there was no option on the form for that. I called the court and they told me that and she said that its too late to request that and i've to go to the trial.
so any suggestions now? do i meet the prosecutor outside the court to plea bargain or what else can i do?

thanks admin, i had seen the first one but not the others
so i went to the court today and told them that i wanted to represent my dad, the girl said no problem, gave me a form to fill with my dad's information but told me to sign my name in the end of the form and i got a trial date
NOW, when do i meet the prosecutor? i assume there is no first attendance with this type of ticket, so do i meet him before the trial and how would i find him on the trial day?
thanks

can i represent my dad for red light camera violation
hi all,
i was driving my dad's car when i was caught by the red light camera in Brampton. My dad would've to take time off work to go ask for a trial and then go to one.
Can i represent him? if yes, what do i need to do?
thank you

it really depends on the insurance company.
I got two tickets in the span of 3 years, fought both of them, got them reduced to 15 km/h over (i was 20 over in both cases) and my insurance has not gone up. It is also possible that i am very very lucky and somehow have escaped insurance company's eye (which i also doubt but thats what has happened)

"improper use of headlights"
so i saw a cop with a radar looking at incoming traffic and i decided to warn the incoming traffic of the cop and starting flashing my headlights and suddenly i see another cop on my side of the road telling me to pull over. He tells me that he knows what i was doing and that is considered an "improper use of headlights" and carries a $110 ticket but he let me go after i said i was sorry.
Seems to me that he was just trying to scare me and there is no such law. Can anybody confirm this? i would love to actually see where this rule is in the traffic act

driving at 100 km in the left lane
I've been told that it is illegal to drive at 100 km/h (speed limit) in the left lane because left lane is a designated a passing lane.
The question is, if i can't drive in it at 100 km/h and i can't go over 100 km/h which rule of the law do i follow?
I am asking wut the rule of the law is and not someone's opinion.
thanks
