Re: officer's notes / narrative include some very substantive errors
Thank you very much for your response. The facts are, that I was traveling westbound and that he was most likely monitoring westbound traffic. However in his notes he states that he was monitoring eastbound traffic and that I was travelling eastbound; two very incorrect facts. Question is, how do I ...

I wish to cross-examine the officer's evidence based on the errors in the note's narrative. Do I need to enter my copy of th...

Re: What is an officer's text narrative
Hmmm, if I had to guess...a lot of officer reports are being done by civilian data entry people, they just call up, leave a recorded message as to what they want the report to say the data entry person puts the verbal report on the occurrence report on the computer system. This is a new way of free...

What is an officer's text narrative
Hi,
In filing a disclosure request, I received a document titled " Text Narrative". I was expecting a photocopy of the officer's notes, but instead received a 1.5 page types narrative.
Where would the original information for this have come from ?
Thank you

Re: Wording un 4F form application
Hi again, I'm sure you are all correct and speak from a position of experience regarding the private property issue. My approach in fighting a ticket on occasion, has been to apply the the spaghetti principle. You throw everything against the wall and see was sticks. In doing this, it makes the matt...

Re: Wording un 4F form application
The facts relating to where the officer was situated was stated in the incomplete disclosure made by the crown. In the officers notes, she states that she was parked on the Toyota lot on xx street. The poisonous fruit may be an an American idiom, but most certainly, the principle applies in the exec...

Hi Decatur,
Why did you phrase the statement by saying 'that you believe to be ". Are you suggesting that I could be mistaken about it being private or is it the fact even if it were private property; it's inconsequential ?

Re: Wording un 4F form application
I thank you for the clarification on points 1 and 2, however I disagree with you regarding police access on to private property. My understanding and I have heard and seen "authorization" asked for and provided in court. Otherwise, the officer is trespassing and can not be acting lawfully ...

Re: Wording un 4F form application
My follow up was actually going to be that I have been aggrieved by the failure to receive these documents in a timely manner. I will have to appear in court twice . I have had to visit the prosecutor's offices, on no less than six occasions. There are costs associated with everyone of these visit t...

Radar maintenance requirements
Hi,
I suspect that certain requirements exist for the periodic maintenance of police speed measuring devices; is there a legislative source for these requirements ?

Hi hwybear,
I take the view that everything matters; some things to a much greater or lesser degree then others, but as the expression goes "all is fouter (sp) for the grease mill"
