I assume you meant no insurance. Is this car in your name or are you saying you're just not on your parents policy?cody123 wrote:I can appreciate anyone's help but here's what happened

Now that I have a better picture of what happened this still looks like the charge fits the event. You can't deflect fault and use "what if's".

Re: Permit Drive Motor Vehicle w/o Insurance issued to Opera
If certified Ministry documents provided to the court by the officer show you were not the owner at the time of the vehicle stop then yes it will be withdrawn. The officer has three years to lay the proper charge against the owner of the vehicle.

Even if the other driver committed an offence you also did and his offence happened after yours. The charge fits the event.

Re: Disobey stop sign - fail to stop (on a snowy day)
I don't think that is a good enough defense. You should have been driving with due car and attention due to the weather and road conditions. That with not noticing the sign equals a good careless driving charge. Go to court and see what they offer in exchange or take it to trial and request the offi...

Re: Highway incident and insurance report
Your insurance company will know. There will be a claim started from the province for the damage to highway property. It costs thousands of dollars to fix a guardrail and there is no mechanism to pay for it out of pocket. It's your choice to tell them or you can just wait until the province sends th...

Re: Taking hands off motorcycle handlebars
There is always two sides to a story. I see this all of the time and wouldn't think anything of it. I'm guessing there was something else going on then just "putting his hands in front of him". What was discussed during the "talking to" would probably answer that question. The ac...

Re: Section 172 and Section 128
Nope it's correct. The 172(1) is the stunt driving charge for going 50 km/H over the limit and the other one is the straight speed. A careless driving charge could also have been laid. You most likelyay be offered an deal on one of the charges if you don't choose to fight it. If so take the speed.

Re: Caught with a Suspended Driver's Licence for Unpaid Fine
The pay the outstanding fines and try and plea down the suspension that everyone keeps suggesting is the best idea. Looking at your excuses it seems to me you are a procrastinator which has put you in this situation. Make sure you are early to your first appearance and see if they offer a drive no l...
