I don't see anywhere that airbags are part except for under schedule 1 section 1 subsection P where the vehicle is a physically-diabled passenger vehicle.

I am having my car safetied and the airbag light is on. the garage wants to scan it and diagnose the problem and will not sign the safety unless the light is off.
