"Lawful performance of a police officer's duties"...so basically anytime they are driving they can claim they're preforming their duties.

Re: Please confirm , right of way at an intersection
My only thought is after you made the right, you should have stayed in the right lane and then moved over, instead of drifting into the left lane during the corner. There was plenty of room to stay in the right, then change to left and make your turn. You stay in the lane closest to you, and the car turning left at the lights, stays in the left lane when they turn. Don't have to stop before turning right, but the other driver needs to make sure where they are going is not going to blocked as they make the turn and end up blocking the box, but that was not an issue. If everyone stays closest to...

I think just warming them up with "release" the glue holding them up, and hopefully end up with a clean removal. I am going to remove mine as well.

Re: Increase The Axle Weight Rating Of A Truck With Modifications
I am not sure if you can increase the weight rating of a truck after it is manufactured. Usually the weight rating is based on all components involved and is placed by the manufacturer when it is built. I do know that you can reduce the GVWR on the ownership but the sticker on the vehicle remains the same.

Curious why you needed to get into the left lane when already going +/- 20km over the speed limit already? I would assume that it wasn't to turn left if you accelerated.

Personally, I would love to see the government act on this particular issue. Too busy with buck-a-beer I guess![]()

Re: RECEIVED A STUNT DRIVING TICKET SEC 172 For not speeding
I take this completely different. Driving in the passing lane when driving lanes are clearly open and available. Flashing the highbeams because the other driver is also driving in the incorrect lane.
Advise? Hang out in the driving lane, move to pass in the passing lane and go back to the driving lane. Can't be in the left lane "passing" from Lancaster to Windsor.
Hard lesson to teach drivers (new and old) but roads would be much safer if we all did that!

Nope. Pretty sure they're back with white numbers as OP made mention too.

Re: First ticket Careless Driving Ticket
You are correct, I misread what was there as far as where your position was on the highway. My apologies. :( Either way though, you still "passed" a car that was still straddling the merge lane and the 1st lane, and they didn't have their car completely in the 1st driving lane. I believe that if you waited even until the car was completely in the 1st lane, then when you got to the end of the ramp and there was no space you got into the 1st driving lane at that time the officer wouldn't have even noticed. I think it was likely the passing and not the speed that caught the attention of...

Re: First ticket Careless Driving Ticket
I think what the officer may have had a problem with is going from a driving lane into the ON ramp, passing cars in the driving lane, then re-merging with the lane he just came from. I don't think the on ramp is designed to be a passing lane to pass slower vehicles, and is to be used by vehicles only merging ON to the highway. If traffic was going slow and the merging driver did have 9/10ths of the merge lane still to use even though traffic was bumper to bumper, and saw a spot where he could get in at 1/10th of the merge lane, why not take advantage of that spot available? The OP once out in ...
