But who is going to protect us from Tow Truck drivers?hwybear wrote:New this spring, tow trucks are included in move over law....

Re: Stunt driving at 155 on 400
A quick Google of that name links to all sorts of scam and fraud allegations. For any posters seriously considering his services I'd point out that reputable paralegals have no need to spam this board for business. I also find it interesting that he promises 100% refund if not successful. So give him the cash up front and hope he's honest. :? I like the "(We Provide All This In Writing – Conditions Apply)" note following the guarantee and the fact that he describes himself as a "Referral Consultant". Does that mean you give him the money and he then hires a pa...

Re: Driving with Headphones, Legal?
Hi AndruLuka. If you haven't noticed, this board is in regards to the Ontario Highway Traffic Act, a piece of legislation that exists in Ontario, Canada. 'County law', 'local rule' or 'state law' (as you've mentioned in some of your other posts) are completely irrelevant to anything discussed on this forum. These kind of posts are generally done to increase the position of the poster's Google Search. The search algorithms take into account how many links point back to their website so they just make a neutral comment and include a link back to the site they are promoting. If the moderator jus...

So why does it say: "Towed vehicle(s) includes trailers, farm implements and wagons." in the HTA 32, 37, Reg. 340/94 quoted above?hwybear wrote:none of the farm exemptions apply when you have 4 axles or more
A wagon has two axles so with a pickup or tractor you are at 4 axles. When would you ever have less than 4 axles when pulling a wagon?

Not sure if this has already been posted but this one was in the Toronto Star today. I like how her mother says her daughter has never done it before. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=48lxqgdo8iw Woman drives on sidewalk to avoid school bus One of the greatest sins a driver can commit, right up there with blocking the path of an emergency vehicle, is ignoring the flashing lights on a school bus that is stopped to load or unload kids. One impatient Cleveland woman thought she had the perfect solution: Rather than pass to the left of the bus on the left, she took her &q...

Re: 51 over, speed measured via aircraft
So if you're doing 151 km/hr, the time thru the zone is 11.92 sec but if you're doing 149 km/hr, the time thru the zone is 12.08 sec - difference of 0.16 sec. Given the distance between the officer in the plane and the subject vehicle it could be argued that the accuracy of the officer's reaction time resulted in too high of a speed recorded. I'm thinking that the difference in penalty between 151 and 149 is fairly high? Aren't you trying to show that you are not going 50 km/hr or more over the speed limit? Shouldn't you really be looking at the difference between 151 km/hr and 149.99 km/hr w...

he was busy at the dealership and didn't pay enough attention to what employees at apple were developing when they came out with a lousy 4S yah... what a screw up! Apparently they only sold 4,000,000 of them in the first week. That only works out to about $2-3 billion dollars of sales in 7 days.... Obviously Jobs was pretty bad at figuring out what customers want! you must not have read the new article released a couple days ago saying samsung has overtaken apple as the number 1 selling handset manufacturer on planet earth. you must be one of the intelligent people that spend way more money t...

The dealer loved the arrangement not just because they got him to lease a new car every 6 months but because they also had a regular supply of off lease cars that were "previously driven by Steve Jobs" which increased the value.

I thought an incorrect date on a ticket was not considered a Fatal Error. Does that change depending on how many days between the actual date and what is written on the ticket?Stanton wrote:If not and and you receive a notice of conviction, you'll have to get the matter reopened and appeal based on the error.

You pay extra to get a condominium with a "lake" or "park" view. Why not more for one with an "intersection" view?

Re: Charge Withdrawn - Success story
Just some food for thought. Industry Canada issues licences for mobile and base station police radio, MDT's and .....mobile and stationary police radar units. Would the fact that they are issuing the licences not mean that Industry Canada is following a standard? Most radar units i've dealt with are sent back to the distributor and calibrated on an annual basis or when any repairs are done. Licenses are a different matter. Some reserved parts of the frequency spectrum require specific approval for the user to operate a broadcasting device. These are frequencies like those reserved for emergen...
