Re: Options for speeding ticket received thru Auto-enforcement system
The reason for the price difference is because it was in a school zone and that doubles the fine. That is the only place they can be used in Ontario.

Cannabis has moved from the CDSA to the Federal Cannabis act. From what he is calling it(Thread title) it appears he was charged under provincial legislation and not the federal.

Re: Single Car Crash - Careless Driving and Roadside Suspension
The road side suspension is not related to the careless drive but is from the road side warn. That's a done deal as you blew on the instrument and it was a warn. That is the penalty and it is automatic

Re: Help please: G2, Stunt driving ticket 170 kmph u/s 172, Summons (yellow)
If you are in Ottawa (Probably rest of province) the crown won't reduce for that speed and a G2. It will be plead guilty with a slight reduced fine and suspension or take it to trial. If they don't you can count on the max fine 2k and max suspension 2 years) Plus we don't know what the speed limit w...

No they do not need permission or allowances or anything else.
If they are asked to leave they have to but it does not invalidate any tickets.

Re: Will a non-criminal suspension in Ontario carry over to BC?
Well there is your answer. You have to show your abstract and it will show you suspended. Do you really think they will give you a BC DL knowing that you are suspended in Ontario?

Re: Will a non-criminal suspension in Ontario carry over to BC?
When I Moved here from the west I had to supply proof that I had a DLL and a driver abstract before they would exchange it. They will check. Plus most provinces have charges for Obtaining a DL knowing that a DL is suspended in another province. (This was more for pre-electronic information exchanges...

Cops go to court on their days off all the time. If it happens they get a set minimum hours at overtime. Cops get supeonaed just like every other witness. Even for their work days. If they ignore they could always issue a witness (not common for POA court) warrant. But you miss court even on days of...
