If the Justice of the Peace notices the error the ticket should be quashed. I just got pulled over for running a amber/red light.

The officer wrote down the wrong date on my ticket. "2013" instead of "2014". Would that qualify as a fatal error?

If so, how would I proceed exactly? Any help would be appreciated.
