Reduced from 40 over to disobey sign
I got a 40 over speeding ticket, requested disclose and along with disclosure I got a letter offering a plea deal from 40 over down to disobey sign. I am considering taking it and avoid the hassle of a trial because it happened 3 hours away from where I live. The problem is that even if I want to ta...

Re: Disclosure Decode!
Send another request for disclosure specifying that you cannot read the hand written notes. I did and the cop had to type it for me.

Re: Nabbed on the 400
I have read that if you don't receive disclosure you can requested adjournment. When the JP asks for your defense say you can't make one because you never received your disclosure and thus you were unable to formulate a defense against the charge. Thus you request to have this trial adjourned until ...

Re: From 40 over to disobey sign
Hello all, So I got disclosure and could not understand cop handwriting. I asked for typed notes which I received. The cop made a mistake on the type notes: wrong postal code and wrong drivers license. The original hand written notes are correct regarding address and drivers licence number. However,...

Re: From 40 over to disobey sign
Thanks so much sir.
I requested typed notes by email and got a positive response right away saying that they will request the officer to send them by mail.
I will come back with an update as soon as I have them

Re: From 40 over to disobey sign
highwaystar you are totally right!
It does seem weird to me to drop that low. I was expecting down to 20 over but not disobey sign.
My problem is that the cop notes even though they are extensive, I cant understand them.
I have no problem fighting it. I wish I could find out where is the weak spot!

From 40 over to disobey sign
Hello all, I got 40 over on the 401. Decided to fight it and got my disclosure (which is unreadable by the way) along with a letter offering a deal. They are offering to go from speeding 40 over, 4 demerits and $295 to a disobey sign, 2 demerits and $180 which I think it is better but not sure if I ...

Re: 40 over on the 401 near chatham kent
Well Got my disclosure and notes are unreadable. Is it my right to call them and ask for a note transcript?
Also, they offered on a letter that I could plea guilty to Disobey Sign instead of 40 over, 2 demerit instead of 4 and $180 instead of $295.
Should I take it and run?

Re: 40 over on the 401 near chatham kent
EphOph Thanks so much for sharing. Wasn't count on 11b at all got my ticket en July and 1st court date in Feb. Already requested disclosure 2 weeks ago. To use no disclosure as a trump card, what was your plan? Just say that you are not prepared to defend yourself and ask for another trial date? Is ...

Re: 40 over on the 401 near chatham kent
I haven't fought one in Chatam, but I had a similar experience in Barrie. Check Neo's post. That and others provide a great deal of useful information. I'm currently waiting for disclosure. http://www.ticketcombat.com/ is very helpful. What was your case? I am requesting disclosure today. Just got ...

Re: Nabbed on the 400
Hi, something similar happened to me. Got nailed 40 over and in shock as well. Going to fight it myself. All the paralegals I called tell me upfront that a win is reducing the fine WTF I can do that myself just by stepping foot in court. My question is: where on the ticket said LIDAR? My ticket does...

40 over on the 401 near chatham kent
Going to fight a 40 over on the 401.
I wasn't going that fast for sure. Had a car in front, behind and beside me. All of us 40 over? Don't think so.
Anyways, has somebody fought a ticket at Chatham Kent?
Any feedback, advice or tips highly appreciated.
