Charged; am an expert in the field I was charged with
Hi, I received a ticket a few months back for failure to obey stop sign but I am an expert in a field that can relate to my charge so I am planning on bringing up theories to support my case. My question is when do I bring them up - during cross examination or my defense? For example, is it better t...

FAIL TO OBEY STOP SIGN
I was charged with failing to obey stop sign for which I have my trial date soon. I was just wondering that if I am convicted, I know that the justice asks for submissions from myself and the prosecutor for what the sentence should be. My ticket has a $110 charge and 3 demerit points and I care more...

forcing a fatal flaw
Hello, I received a traffic ticket for disobeying stop sign and the ticket says 'DISOBEY STOP SIGN - FOIL TO STOP' instead of 'FAIL' and I know this isn't a fatal flaw, but if I choose to not respond to the ticket (ie not do anything after 15 days), will this misspell become a fatal flaw? I know the...

Re: misspelled offence for failing to stop at a stop sign
The issue is that the offence for which you plead guilty to has to somehow relate to the offence you actually committed. Thats why youll speeds lowered on speeding tickets, careless charges in rear end collisions changed to following too close, red light offences changed to disobey lane light, etc....

Re: misspelled offence for failing to stop at a stop sign
The a does not look like an o; it is an o. The policeman wrote in capitals so the a's and o's are obvious. For example, he wrote 'HIGHWAY TRAFFIC ACT' and 'FOIL' so it is very clear that is an O. In response to the next lowest ticket: my total payable right now is 110.00 so if I plea guilty, the cit...

Re: misspelled offence for failing to stop at a stop sign
Hi Stanton, Thank you for your reply. This whole situation really bothers me so I was wondering also am I able to just meet with the prosecutor and change the charge to a non-moving violation like a large parking ticket, no seatbelt as a passenger, etc or does it have to be related to the original v...

misspelled offence for failing to stop at a stop sign
Hello, I was pulled over two nights ago and charged with failing to stop a stop sign. On the ticket, it says 'disobey stop sign - foil to stop' and does not say 'fail' -- something I think may be a fatal flaw? I have been driving for 12 years with no tickets, yet I live in Brampton where insurance p...
