Question About Code Numbers
I received a ticket for parking after the posted pay-parking time. I got a ticket for "stop-signed highway - during rush hour period" and the code on the ticket is no.403
I'm just wondering where exactly do I find the information that explains what code no. 403 is because I had my car parked on Church Street (Toronto) and I'm not really sure how that's considered a 'stop-signed highway'. The fine is $150 which I feel is totally unreasonable.
Any help locating information on this code no. 403 is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Re: Question About Code Numbers
The $150 fine was recently introduced by the City of Toronto: http://www.thestar.com/news/city_hall/2 ... e_tow.html

Fines for stopping, standing and parking in signed rush-hour routes increase effective this Thursday to $150.
You've been warned! Rush-hour routes generally run 7-9am and 4-6pm, but always check the signs because there are differnet times at some locations.
Stopping in a "No Stopping" zone to let a passenger out, or pick one up, is NOT permitted.
Here are the details:
Offence Code #: 401
Park – signed highway – during Rush Hour Period Toronto Municipal Code Ch. 950-405A.1
Offence Code #: 402
Stand vehicle – signed highway – during Rush Hour Period Toronto Municipal Code Ch. 950-405G.1
Offence Code #: 403
Stop – signed highway – during Rush Hour Period Toronto Municipal Code Ch. 950-405D.1[/quote]http://www.toronto.ca/legdocs/municode/1184_950.pdf
§ 950-405D.1 = $ 150.00
