Re: Reduced 119 kmh in a posted 80 kmh, construction zone. Disclosure included
Are you serious?? Court is a WASTE of officer's time. That's their JOB. It's not like *EDIT* do anything better anyway. As for you cannot plead guilty in court that is absolutely false as well. You can plead guilty right up until the start of your trial or choose to take a deal with the prosecutor. ...

Re: How to respond to 2 traffic tickets: Disobey sign (182(2)) & Interfere with traffic (170(12))
Insurance doesn't care about demerit points whether you have 0 or 500 they do not care. They care solely on the ticket. If you really want to protect your rates your best bet is to get the entire ticket thrown out. If you're ok with a slight increase in your rates for the next 3-4 years then you can...

Re: First ticket, Change Lane - Not in Safety, please help!
Are you at fault. Yes, because you changed into his lane. Whether he's distracted or sped up is completely irrelevant. Will the officer show up most likely. Your best bet of getting the entire ticket thrown out is if the cop doesn't show up which is slim to none. You will most likely be convicted as...

Re: Accident Involved - Red Light Not Obeyed
Does this "witness" have any affiliation with the driver in any way. Were they really at the scene when it happened or maybe they mismatched the vehicles and thought you were the driver that ran through the light when it was actually the other guy. I won't know. Do you remember how long po...

Re: Accident Involved - Red Light Not Obeyed
This is how the police in Ontario work. They go with what ONE witness says whether they're telling the truth or not. Why because they're lazy and gullible to believe any witness who comes forward. Are you able to get the other party's statements and did the cop give you any info on this "witnes...

Re: Need immediate advice
And when it comes to how you should deal with the MTO as I don't know the full story you need to clarify what happened with the previous vehicle the plates were originally registered to. As with the current car if it hits another object there should be some type of damage I assume. Or damage is just...

Re: Need immediate advice
Just to rectify what you said earlier about the cop not noticing the plates when your friend was pulled over, are the 2 vehicles similar? Such as make or model? If so, that explains why the cop may not have noticed

Re: Need immediate advice
Some cops may not notice or probably "rookies" and may not catch on but if an officer is chilling behind you they're 100% running those plates! Based on the info you have given (do correct me if I'm wrong) your friend is potentially facing charges of fail to remain & plates not authori...

Re: Need immediate advice
What was your friend pulled over for initially and how long ago was the fail to remain when they did the side swipe. Did they get charged for that when they just got pulled over? Or have they already been charged prior?
