Roll Cages & Helmets?
Two stupid sounding questions. #1 It is illegal to drive a car on the street equipped with a roll cage? #2 Is it illegal to drive a car while wearing a helmet? Open face or full face, or does it matter? Both questions apply to a closed car as well as convertibles. I have looked through the HTA and c...

Conviction or Offense Date?
The length of time a ticket is on your record starts from the offense date or conviction date?
Just curious, often the two are a long time between.
Thanks in advance.

OPP Crown Vics Equipment
A question for OPP officers out there. Are all OPP fully marked (black and white) Crown Vics equipped the same? Do they all have a partition or cage in the back? Are the cages plexyglass or steel wire mesh? What items are typically located on the rear parcel shelf? What sort of reduction of visibili...

I'll man up and say it took awhile for me to actually watch it all the way through. That is by far the most realistic, hard hitting and for anyone who has suffered a loss from a crash, very painful to watch..........but that is the point. It's not a joke, these things are real, everyone of those act...

Thanks hwybear, I really do have respect for the job done by officers, just not alays the clearest picture of it. And I am really thankful it is not like it is in the States, being pulled over down there in some places is very stressfull for both driver and as I imagine officer too. Cops here seem m...

I realize the different types of alcohol and odors produced, but sometimes, especially during the busy Christmas RIDE season some of the screening of drivers is done by Aux members, Cadets or other volunteers. I agree an experienced officer can tell who has and has not been drinking from more than j...

Well my question was, if a person gets shocked with a taser or pepper sprayed because they made a sudden movement or the officer misunderstood what a person was doing or about to do, does the person who was shocked or sprayed get arrested? It's never come up in my daily life, but does the officer gi...

Smell of alcohol, not from drinking
I recently got a new car, when I use the windshield washers after I can smell the alcohol in the w/w fluid inside the car. It is because or where the air intake fir the HVAC system is in relation to the wipers but I'm wondering what kind of hassle I can expect during the Christmas RIDE season if I w...

^ Jake brakes and retarders on automatics (large trucks and buses) can activate the brake lights if the relays for such are installed and working. I have seen many though that are not working because the relay has been removed or other wiring issues. There are also various levels of activation for e...

Tuesday, the stop occured about 1.3 km from his speedtrap spot. Right at the 1 km marker to the exit he was sitting, add another .3 to the end of the of ramp where he stopped me. The radar manual does say (apparently) that low, sloped roofline cars are more difficult targets, I have a RADAR expert t...
