Got into accident, whose fault is it?
I was reversing out of a parking lot and so was another girl. Our cars hit each other. She was reversing out and then stopped to change gear and about to move forward (but still partially both on the road and in her parking spot) I didn't notice her car in time and reversed into its back corner lite...

Re: Careless Driving after 2 accident
I'm glad you claim you've changed now. However, that doesn't mean you won't be penalized for what you have already done. Look up the concept of ' Deterrence ' to better understand why. Good luck with your cases. Not much else can be said. Seriously, in terms of manoeuvring the car etc, I don't have...

Re: Careless Driving after 2 accident
I'm not lecturing you, I'm laughing at your story! I'd only lecture you if I actually thought it could help. Now you share with us that you use to apply lipstick while driving, can apparently drive properly but require an instructor to be by your side, and oh yeah, have been driving while under the...

Re: Careless Driving after 2 accident
Emily, you're wrong---it IS funny! Its funny to see you have an excuse for everything. You poor thing! I'd love to be a fly on the wall during your interview and court cases just to see the reaction of the MTO staff and the Prosecutor and JP. While you may have passed your tests in the past and thi...

Re: Careless Driving after 2 accident
Emily, I wouldn't worry too much about your situation---just be honest and tell them exactly what you've shared on this site. Show up with your shoes on so that they can see for themselves and tell them about your driving history and of course your driver's training. I'm sure everyone will immediat...

Re: Careless Driving after 2 accident
Ummm. Exactly how many accidents have you been in. From your post I see at least four. Plus a couple of in due care in Europe and a back g on a highway. And you claim to be a good driver. Your actually a very poor driver. Your record you posted shows that. Perhaps it not the shoes but your driving ...

Re: Careless Driving after 2 accident
What arguments should I use for defence? For the first I was thinking of trying to reduce to following to closely and explaining that the car had just overtaken me and stopped (he said he thought he saw an animal but there wasn't one). Also saying that footwear was not an issue. For the second I'm n...

Re: 14 points can I get suspended?
I still believe the prosecutor will plea bargain with you in an effort to avoid a trial. You still have a chance with highwaystar's "guardian angel" option. Careless Driving could be plea-bargained down to charges that carry 3pts (HTA S.141 (5)) to 4pts (HTA S.158). I'm not aware of any a...

Re: DISOBEY SIGN - HTA.182(2), HELP!!!!
I'm going to try just getting it adjourned...any other tips?? It's tomorrow morning and I'm extremely anxious/nervous about it. Been doing research for my tickets and some say if the cop doesn't show up it can get thrown out. How long did it take for you from getting the ticket to get a trial date,...

Re: Backing on highway ticket
I had to go in and "have the talk" one time. You pass over your license and have to tell them a reason to give it back. 14 is real close Wow. You will not what to that 2 times. Cheers Viper1 How was it? Did you get suspended? How many points you had? What reasons should I give? This reall...

Re: 14 points can I get suspended?
Sometimes you got to know a lost cause when you see it. Even if you got 2 follow too closelies (which I doubt you'd be so lucky to be offered after they find out you ALSO backed up on a highway in another incident after being charged with careless twice!), you'll still be called in for an interview...

Re: Backing on highway ticket
Is there any point in requesting trial or should I just pay it? I personally don't think this one will stand much chance, its the other tickets that I think can be reduced or removed. This is just 2 points anyway.viper1 wrote:Have you plead to any of the charges?
It might matter.

Re: 14 points can I get suspended?
You're kidding right? The question is why haven't you been suspended yet? You have shown a complete disregard for the safety of other drivers----2 careless driving, a couple texting offences, plus backing on a highway and still only in your 20's! Yet, somehow you STILL think you should be driving. ...
