Court Date
Hi,
I received a speeding ticket for driving at 60km in a 40 km street. This happened last October and I decided to fight it out. I now have a court date in the 2nd week of October.
Is it better to have a lawyer represent me or can I go alone. ? This is my first speeding ticket (for that matter my very first ticket) and hence a little nervous to go without a lawyer.
What are my chances and anything I should know ?

If you move fast you can file a 4F which is your right to a speedy trial. You'll have to make 3 copies, one for the Attorney General, one for the court and one more for.....I can't remember. But these need to be filed 15 days before your court date.... A paralegal could do this quickly for you and you may be able to talk them down in price.....good luck.
Thanks Reflections.
Is it too late to seek the help of a para legal firm ? what might be their standard charges at this point of time.
and you said I have 15 days - is it 15 days or 15 business days ?
Thanks for your help and advise.

Don't know, all para's are their own entity.
