Pulled Over Doing 81 In A 50 Zone.. Wrong Dl# On Ticket

Unread post by napster428 »

hey so i got a ticket as stated above doing 81 in a 50 zone.. The officer wrote the wrong driver license number on my ticket... He wrote 3 instead of 8. Do i have a chance to get this ticket dismissed for that reason?

So i read on ticket combat that if I dont show up to court or pay the ticket for 15 days and then appeal the ticket itself will get it dismissed... can someone please help resolve this issue...

any help will be appreciated...

Amendable in court. With or without you.

It's not a big enough error for this to work.

+1

Wrong DL# is not a fatal error. DL# is "surplusage" and only helps identify the defendant and make it easier for MTO to process the paperwork. If your last name was not correctly spelled or your name was missing, that should be a fatal error.

You'll have to use more "traditional" methods of fighting this.
