Speeding Ticket In Construction Zone

I was given a ticket for doing 112km in an 80km zone. After the officer left and I looked at the ticket I realized that he doubled my fine due to "workers present". In fact it was a Saturday morning and other than the police car there was nobody else in the area. Any suggestions as to the best way to contest the double fine?

You'd have to testify that there were no workers and be unshaken in that.
My suggestion: Fight the ticket. When you get a trial date, file for disclosure, get the officer's notes (and a copy of the relevant parts of the radar/laser manual). If it doesn't have any notes about workers, you're likely be in decent shape. I suppose they could still convict you of speeding 112 in an 80, but at least the fine would less onerous.

I just received an Early Resolution Hearing Notice. Do you have any suggestions as to any advance steps that I should take prior to attending this meeting?
Thanks.
