Help False Radar Reading

Unread post by NomadicGeek »

Hi Im new to this site, last friday i got a ticket for doing 87 in a 50. The officer clocked me going down a hill with my cruse control set at 52. gravity sped my car up to 62 by the botem of the hill. I know this because when ever i start my car my phone logs both the gps speed and the speed on the obd port and time stamps every second the car is in drive as well as the number of gps altitude bearing etc. I figure if i have a dyno test that verifies the speed on my obd port i should be able to get off but I've never tried to fight a ticket before and really dont know where to start

You'll have a very difficult time in court using gps based speeds. You'll have to see what disclosure says if you decide to plea not guilty.
