Cellphone/texting Crackdown Starts Feb 1

The "grace period" that police were giving drivers for talking and/or texting with their cellphones, Blackberries and other devices has ended. Beginning on Feb 1, police will now issue tickets instead of warning drivers. A blitz involving many police services across Ontario will be run from February 1 to 7.

You should definitely never text and drive! That's a combination for an accident waiting to happen.


It's probably a good idea to not talk and drive either, however, at some point you may need to...


To avoid a ticket, simply get a bluetooth headset device for your cell phone and talk hands free.
