Hello,
I am a new driver in Ontario and I rear-ended some one. No damage at all for his car, mine got some, so I choose not to report or claim and fix it on my own. However, the plates got some damage and I have to replace it. My question is, does the MTO informs the insurance company and that would increase my premium? Is there a way out?

MTO probably won't inform the insurance company.

Licence plates can be replaced for reasons other then accidents. The MTO will NOT notify your insurance provider.
