Can I Appeal A Suspended Licsence?

About 6 months ago I was driving and got pulled over for doing 10 over. I was also driving my mom's car and did not know where her insurance card was. So I ended up getting 2 tickets - 1 for speeding and 1 for no insurance card.

A friend refered me to a friend of theirs who is a paralegal and he said he would take my tickets and fight them for free.

Yesterday, I got a notice in the mail saying my liscence is suspended for unpaid fines. Therefore it looks like that paralegal just forgot about my tickets and didn't do anything with them. I tried to contact him but could not get a hold of him at all.

Is there any way I can appeal my suspension since it was not my fault that the fines were not paid?

Its possible to get the charges reopened with sufficient cause. Do you have any documentation showing he had agreed to represent you and would attend Court on your behalf? Youre going to need more than simply your word to satisfy the Courts.
