158 In A 100 Zone. Car/lisence Suspended. Best/worst Case?

I got caught. I'm going to hire a lawyer to defend me. I'm terrified. The ironic part is that this was the last time I'll be driving in years because I don't need my car after moving downtown.

What is a likely outcome? Are plea deals likely? I don't want to pay 10 grand and/or go to jail! Do they usually reduce it if it is your first offense? I haven't had a ticket in over 3 years. What is the worst case? And what is he likeliest? Thanks.

On first time offence, I have never seen the 10,000 maximum or jail time.

What do you usually see happen?

$2000 fine and a 1-3 month licence suspension is usually what I've seen for the first offence like this... but I haven't really been watching cases for the past 6 months. Jail time is for really egregious, repeat offenders, which, 158 & first time is not.

Agree with Radar Identified. Had a first time offender with a G2 licence last year enter a gulity plea at the earliest possible time and it was a $2,000 fine and one year suspension. That was for a 153 km/h in a 60 km/h zone.
