Radar Margin Of Error-please Help!
It seems to be widely accepted that the margin of error for radar is 1-3 km/hr. Does anyone have a link or case law for this? I can't seem to find it in the manual for the Decatur Genesis.
I have a trial tomorrow for someone charged with stunt and speeding, 52 km over, so obviously the 3 km is very important.
As it happens, when I was preparing for the trial today, I discovered that there is no mention in the disclosure of what brand or type of radar was used, nor was there any indication of it being tested before or after the shift. The only mention of radar in the disclosure is one sentence in the brief that says "once I saw the vehicle in front of me I activated the radar...". There is no other mention of the radar at all.
Thank you in advance.
