Can I Represent My Wife In Court?

Greetings! It's been many months since I've posted on this site.

My wife is due in court next month for a speeding charge. I have requested disclosure already (with no response yet). She refuses to go to court. Am I allowed to represent her in court and argue the case?

Also, a friend of mine also wants me to represent him in court for a speeding charge. Am I allowed to do this as I am not a licenced paralegal? Or does this only apply if I'm charging a fee??

In these cases, you can represent anyone as long as you are not charging a fee.

I agree we can represent a family member any time, not just in HTA cases.
