Cops Trying To Deliver Summons For No Insurance After Ttp

I got pulled over,

Long story short I got 4 tickets 2 of which were TTP, failure to surrender and for having no license on me.

I took care of the no license TTP but let the failure to surrender slide because the car is insured and plated under someone else's name (the leasee) and didn't have her insurance card.

Now at my previous address my friend said police tried to deliver a summons to me.

I called court services to see what it was and apparently the cop is charging me with no insurance now and I haven't received the summons yet.

What should I do avoid summons? Will they ever go away or expire? Or bring in leasee insurance?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

A summons cannot be avoided. They don't go away or expire. They'll find you sooner or later.

Contact the police, get the summons, and get proof that the vehicle was insured under someone else's name - and that the insurance was valid at the time. You'll have to show that to the Prosecutor in order for them to withdraw the charge.

Summonses can turn into warrants if the officer is not able to serve it.
