got stopped...got car towed and got a summons for driving with no insurance. I did not have insurance at the time for several reasons but got it about 10days later immediately. should i take the new insurance slip to the court and just tell them there were some complications on the insurance companies part etc
I read about a guy whose paralegal pleaded guilty with reason of depression, job loss etc...and prosecutor agreed to reduce fine to 200dollars with suspended sentence. how common is this?

You may be given a lesser fine for early resolution. There is no excuse not having insurance while operating a motor vehicle. It matters where your case is being heard because each jurisictions have different perspectives on fines. Remember that whatever your excuse you give and whatever you did to remedy the situation, in the back of the mind of all parties is that you wouldn't have purchase insurance right after the ticket if you hadn't been caught.
