I understand there is multiple driver's abstract checks available.

Which one does insurance companies look at usually when applying/renewing a policy?

Driver's licence checks (#6) are simply verifications that show if a person is licenced or not.

I can't speak to which particular record insurance companies would request. Your rates are supposed to be partially based on convictions/suspensions over the past 3 years. However since even longer records are priced the same, there's no financial disincentive for providers to not request them.

For a new customer the 3 year check. If a customer lied they can just cancel in the case of a claim.

I believe it is more then just paying to get the extended 5 year check.
