I received an Alberta photoradar ticket. The car has Ontario plates. I'm wondering what would happen if this ticket is not paid. I did not drive or speed in this vehicle and hence I do not intend to pay this fine.

There are reciprocal agreements in place where your licence can be suspended for unpaid fines from other Provinces if youre charged as the driver, but I dont think that would apply to photo radar tickets where no driver is identified. My guess is that theres little they could do short of sending the fine to a collections agency. There might also be mechanisms in place for dealing with outstanding fines if you're caught driving the vehicle in Alberta again.

If it wasn't you driving, why not just ask whoever got the fine to pay it for you so you don't even have to worry about it?
