Stop Sign With A White Border

I was out in front of my house and some kid ran the stop sign.

I tossed my arms up for a what do you think you are doing.

He stopes and rolls down the window, I ask why did he run the sign.

His reply " The stop sign's with a white border are optional "

He said look it up.


Any truth to this or was he just BSing me.

Either he heard something from a friend and believed it, or he's just being a clown. Standards for road signs in Ontario are set by Ontario Regulation 615. Click on this link here:

Paragraphs 6-12 cover "stop" signs, and you'll see the white border there. No truth to what he was saying whatsoever.

I should hay taken his plate and reported it to road watch.

Too bad it was covered in guck.
