Went Through Intersection I Wasn't Supposed To

I recently got a ticket for going through an intersection I was not supposed to (King and Spadina) and am not sure how to proceed.
I was renting a moving truck at the time and moving to the City for the first time. I guess I failed to notice the sign at the lights and got pulled over after crossing.
Any advice on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated. I really rather would not pay or have demerit points added.
Thanks,

You never mentioned what exactly you were charged with.

Ticket forgiveness isn't really a thing being offered for disobeying signage.
If you don't want to pay, you can request a trial. From there you can put together a proper defense for the charge (unfamiliarity is not a defense) or hope some miracle happens where they can't proceed with a trial.

Sorry, the charge was written very lightly so I wasn't totally able to make it out, but I believe it is " Proceed Contrary To Sign At Intersection ". To be honest, I was unfamiliar with the intersection and was too focused on moving and the rental truck, I didn't realize you couldn't go through that specific intersection.
