“Signs And By-laws”

Let say I missed a stop sign. If I take it to court and request disclosure, does the cop have to provide me with a by-law stating that there is a stop sign at that intersection? Does a municipality have to creat a by law for every stop sign they put up?

In court I think they need to but it might be at any time.
