Discrepancy betw bylaw and posted signs, about the extents of a CSZ
Hi Please help settle a good-natured argument among friends. MY FRIEND says that municipalities are OBLIGATED by the Province to post "begins" and "ends" signs to physically delimit Community Safety Zones (so-called "CSZ's"). I on the other hand, think that municipaliti...

Re: New Member? Come and say Hi and Introduce yourself here! :
Hi Racer As per your suggestion --and although I'm a returning member rather than new-- I'm just saying "Hi" to other members old and new. As a recently-retired boomer with no specific training or experience pertaining to the HTA, folks looking for that kind of help might elect to seek the...

Re: accused of driving on suspended license, yet it was not suspended for 3 more weeks
Although I'm no expert, it's quite possible in Ontario that --when you are involved in any accident and the attending officer flags you for a retest-- your D/L automatically gets suspended, and reinstated only once you've met all the conditions. By-far the most inconvenient and time-consuming among ...

Re: Sleep Studies and your D/L
Hi Zatota Its likely that your OSA wasn't severe enough to obligate your Healthcare Provider to advise MTO about your condition. I recently made just a MENTION of my situation with MTO requiring me to be on CPAP to keep my D/L, and the Doctor seeing me got totally-triggered! Seems that (years ago) Q...

Re: New Member? Come and say Hi and Introduce yourself here! :)
Dear Moderator Despite being an "occasional" visitor, I might well come here more-frequently now, as a number of my friends often contact me after running afoul of driving rules and receiving offenses contrary to the HTA. Many would say "just send them the link and let them do their O...

Re: Sleep Studies and your D/L
Hi I just wanted readers to know that (in ON anyway) if you are diagnosed as "likely sleep deprived" based on results of a Sleep Analysis Test you underwent, you may end up being chained to a CPAP machine for the rest of your driving life! So-called "sleep deprivation" is a LEGAL...

Re: New Member? Come and say Hi and Introduce yourself here! :)
G'day all! I admit having visited this site years ago for help/inspiration to fight a 20-over ticket in a 40 zone which ALSO happened to be a CSZ (in other words, looking at significant points and a hefty fine).I'm glad to say I avoided that charge, and feeling sorry that I didn't "pay it forwa...
