2009 -2010 Tahoe Ppv Top Speed

Unread post by johnnycrash »

Hi,

Does anyone know the top speed of the Police Pursuit Vehicle package of the

2009 - 2010 Chevy Tahoe.

Just curious, the brochure states 125MPH or 200km/h

But does anyone have any real experience with this thing?

Cheers

Haven't actually driven one, but here's the link to the Michigan State Police vehicle testing results:

http://www.michigan.gov/msp/0,1607,7-12 ... --,00.html

Every year they run a wide range of tests on all police purpose vehicles. One of the tests that they run is top speed on a 14 mile run.

The 2009 and 2010 year models reached 133 MPH (214 KM/HR) and the 2011 reached 139 MPH (224 KM/HR). For all three model years, 0-100 times seem to be about 8.5 seconds.

Just to add: The Michigan State Police tests are generally considered the "benchmark" for these sorts of things in North America.

In Mississauga today I saw a peel car with a sign in window "mechanics test"

He was doing speed tests.(real fast spurts to about 90) limit there 80

I was going to pull him over as he had a tail-light out. (but I was busy)

I was in durham going 60K

2 other cars were near me one going faster.

A chev cop cruiser burst out and was in front so fast I thought that it was only

possible with a bike.
