“Traffic Tickets And Demerit Points”

I recently received my very first ticket in heavy, heavy traffic, for a "failure to clear a signalized intersection", the total payable fine being $40.

What I am unsure of, though, is whether or not this ticket comes with any demerit points? I've looked through all the demerit point categories but I can't seem to find what this ticket would fall under (if any) and it doesn't really say anywhere on the ticket...

Long story short: How do I know that I've received any demerit points?

First, you want to look at the subsection. "Contrary To: 123(4)" for example. Then you look for the exact combination on Demerit Pointrs System Table. If it is there, then there are demerit points associated with it. Column 3 tells how many. If it is not, then there are no demerit points awarded for the offence, and just a monetary fine.

Its a City of Toronto Bylaw offence, it has no demerit points on it, and most likely will not appear on your driving record.
