401 In Toronto With Light Traffic

Unread post by Radar Identified »

Driving on the 401 through Scarborough when there's light traffic...

We were going 115-120 and being passed by the majority of the cars...

The BMW that edged by on the right was sitting on our tail until my wife moved to the centre lane to let him by. He wouldn't move left, so she did.

The Accent's a rental. You thought correctly, I do have a Civic... but my wife's Saturn was in the repair shop for some transmission work, and the Civic is getting the body work done (hit & run repaired)... should have it back today. :D

Well, they were several months ago, I just covered them up with spray paint as a temporary fix. Damage = Front bumper + right quarter panel (two separate incidents). Plus, scratch to hood - was entering an underground parking garage when I lived in Windsor, ramp was angled, roads were a bit slushy but okay, entered the ramp which was a skating rink, hit brakes, car kept sliding, I managed to hit the button to open the garage door - only it was a split-second too late and bottom of the door gouged my hood. Got the car back yesterday from the shop. Looks like a brand new car. :D

Also... proves the value of getting several estimates... most places were within the "ballpark" of the one I went with, although one of them (which, obviously, I didn't use) was somewhat more expensive and the guy got aggressive-confrontational with the high-pressure sales tactics after I said I was going to get more estimates but would keep him in mind.

What typo?
