Ticket Speed And Disclosure Speed Are Different

Unread post by jinx »

so i got a 87 ticket in a 60 zone. The cop dropped it down to 75km/h so basicly i got a ticket for 15km/h over.

I requested my disclosure and it states i was doing 97 km/h.

Is this grounds for a adjournment

No. Why do you want an adjournment for this?

NOTHING I SAY ON HERE IS LEGAL ADVICE.

At trial you could try and argue that the officer said you were going 27 over, not 37 over. It may cause some doubt about his testimony, but neither speed conflicts with the actual amount on the ticket. I think it would be a long shot to win with that argument at trial. Also be aware if you go to trial the Crown could raise the speed back to the full amount (possibly 37 over in this case).
