License Reinstatment Proceedure...10 Yrs Later
About 10 years ago I took the blame for an accident that I wasn't actually driving for. (EXTREMELY STUPID, I know, I know)
I did so without realizing I had a suspension on my license for an unpaid ticket, and was therefore fined pretty heavily. Within that time my licence expired (I had my G2).
Within the past week, I have finally paid off my fines and am planning to have my license reinstated and write my G1 test.
My question is this; If my license is being 'reinstated' do I have to wait 1 year after writing my G1, to do my G1 exit test? Or can I technically book my test sooner, since I was a previously licensed driver???
Thanks to anyone that might have some insight for me

Did they actually CANCEL your licence (third occurrence resulting in a suspension) or did it just expire?
If that's the case, you have to serve the full waiting periods according to MTO. But, visit a DriveTest centre and see what they say.

No, it wasn't cancelled, it just expired, and I have to reinstate it before I can write my G1.

Here's the Drive Test page that lists the information you're looking for: http://www.drivetest.ca/en/edu/ReadyNewcomer.aspx
It looks like if you're over the 10 year period, you're considered a new driver and will have the full wait periods. If you're under 10 years, the wait periods can be waived.
Edit: Sorry, just re-read your post and noticed you only had your G2. Looks like you will have the full wait periods.
If your G2 licence has been invalid (expired, cancelled or suspended) for 3 years or more, you will be considered as a new driver and will be required to serve the mandatory wait periods at each level.
