Flashing Headlights'.
I have noticed that a lot people like to flick their headlights.
I tend to drive in the right lane and follow the posted speed.
Well tonight:
1/ I am doing over the posted 60 in the slow lane.
She starts flashing her high beams. Her problem is that I used 5 car lengths as my safety
gauge.
2/ Again in slow lane.(401)
east salom to brock I am driving at 110.
The same 5 car lengths (this trucker gives me the headlight thing.
I am not sure where I fell off the boat.
Cheers

Each time it was at night.
I hate driving close to the car ahead.
It never gets anyone there quicker then a minute or 2.
It happened again last night.
I was in slow lane a bit over posted speed.(but about 7 car lengths back)100 k zone.
When I took drivers education the rule was 1 car length per 10 mph(16 kph)
Cheers

I live out in that direction too but I only ever rarely see anyone be so bold as to flash their headlights at another motorist.
No, I do not work for Toronto Police...
... it is just a name folks

I have driven in a few different countries. They will blink the lights if they want to pass in the fast lane and wait for you to pull over.
Here they blink then attempt to go around you?(no time to move over)
I try to use as much courtesy as they will allow me.

Don't take this as an offence, but you did check that your tail lights were working, right?

Sounds like you live in Windsor. If you leave A car length around here someone will either get irritate or blow by and slam on the brakes so they can jam themselves in front of you.Why people feel the need to abuse their car and other drivers like this is mystifying.I generally slow down more when they get like this because you never know what they're thinking. Many will also flash their lights and ride your bumper to try and "push" you then back off once you speed up. The idea is that YOU get the ticket and not them, hard to believe but I have actually heard people brag about it.Someones trying to make you their rolling radar and not expose themselves to the police by being the lone speeder in the passing lane.If there are cars in the passing lane and they can get you to pass them on the right all the better.

Chalk it up to the other drivers being neurotic, or just not understanding how to work their vehicles.
I've come to the conclusion (as I'm sure you have) from both driving experience, and from being on this forum for quite some time, there's an extreme variety of opinions on what "proper driving" is, and what gets into some people's heads is totally bizarre. And then there are people who are just mentally unstable but still drive...

There's no such thing as stupid people... oh wait, there are...
The OPP should start a program where the passengers in those vehicles are given a free t-shirt that says I'M WITH STUPID.
