Following Too Closely carries 4 demerit points, and will result in an automatic 30-day Drivers License Suspension. https://www.e-laws.gov.on.ca/html/regs/ ... 0339_e.htm

You should've presented your European License at the MTO and got enroled in a 'fast-track' program or earned some credits: http://www.ontario.ca/driving-and-roads ... rs-licence

I'm very surprised you have a European license, I personally feel it trumps a fully graduated ON one. Their testing is much more comprehensive and expensive, I have family in Switzerland who spent ~$3000CAD just to get on the road. They have mandatory 25hrs in-class theory, and minimum of 50hrs instructed driving; road-test includes: night, autobahn, in-town and other emergency scenarios (ie. changing your tire).

The 10-min Ontario Drivetest is a sick joke in comparison.

Not every country in the Europe has the same standards.

You can say that again, the driver's on the road no names mentioned... sure attest to it, and in the GTA between the people giving the test to the people "teaching" others how to drive its truly the blind leading the blind over here. Its downright scary driving around here at the best of times, I can not count how many accidents I have avoided due to others negligence on my two hands in 10 years, I keep saying one day I will install an 18 wheeler horn in my car....
