Speeding is covered under S.128 of the HTA, travelling +1 km/hr over the posted limit = guilty.

http://www.e-laws.gov.on.ca/html/statut ... .htm#BK198

Stunt/Street Racing is covered under S.172 of the HTA

http://www.e-laws.gov.on.ca/html/regs/e ... Definition, "stunt"

3. For the purposes of section 172 of the Act, "stunt" includes any activity where one or more persons engage in any of the following driving behaviours:

7. Driving a motor vehicle at a rate of speed that is 50 kilometres per hour or more over the speed limit.[/quote]Street Racing appears to require more than one vehicle, whereas Stunt Driving can be done solo.

If someone was more than 50 over we were directed by crown to lay both a stunt charge and a speeding charge.

Former Ontario Police Officer. Advice will become less relevant as the time goes by !
