Help – An Old Version Yellow Ticket, effective Or Not?
Need some help as i was given a old version yellow ticket(Form4) with improper left turn by an officer last week, which is old version printed by 2009. Then two days later, the officer found me giving a new version ticket with color green(Form4), printed by 2012. The details on face pages for two tickets are similar, but back sides are different. My question is first yellow ticket is effective or not, when i was given? If not, is the second ticket legal to give me?
Any guidance is greatly appreciated.

Yep, even if the first ticket was invalid (not sure that it was), they have up to 7 days after the offence to serve you with a Provincial Offences Notice (ticket). If that's not enough, they can proceed by giving you a summons up to 6 months after the offence. So that's ok.
What happened that led to you getting charged with an improper turn?

Thanks for Moderator' s reply message.
At an intersection of construction area, I was in first car giving signal to prepare turn left in middle lane, waiting lights to get arrow and green. There are two sets lights on opposite side line. I face one set, the other for left turn lane. At the same time, two sets signals changed arrow and green on. Then I turned left, the officer said I made improper left turn.
Several months ago, not under construction for two sets lights, only left turn set lights had arrow signal.

I always pass this intersection from work to home afternoon. Before construction started, only green, yellow and red signals facing middle lane, nobody turned left from the middle lane. Since construction happened, there are several cars making left turn from middle lane under arrow signal exists.
Can someone please help how to fight this ticket.

Ok I'm not really following so I'll ask some questions for clarification... you were on a middle (through) lane and turned left from the through lane? Or was the left-most lane blocked with construction and you turned left from the left-most lane? Or, did you turn left from the left-most lane that wasn't blocked by construction, and turned into the right lane??

Re: Help – An Old Version Yellow Ticket, effective Or Not?
Thanks again.
I made left turn from middle lane to move to right curb lane on two-way road, not from the left lane closest to centre line. The lights are two separate traffic lights, with similar functions. The left lane has a turning sign marking pavement above road, but the middle lane does not have any pavement above road. So the office said the middle lane is only for going straight, not for turn left, although the light has an arrow light. If the middle lane for left turn, there must be a turning sign pavement above the road. I dont understand that if the middle lane just for going straight, how to explain a green arrow light? Thanks.

The light can be positioned anywhere, or there can be multiple lights. In that case, you needed signs or painted arrows on the road. The traffic light doesn't count.
Worst case scenario, you could plead guilty to a lesser offence such as "disobey lane light" or "fail to proceed as directed." Both are less expensive and, while they may affect your insurance (almost all convictions do, some forgive one or two tickets they deem to be "minor"), they don't carry demerit points, which can affect your license.
